Voltage Supply (HVS) is a leading manufacturer of replacement
parts and transformer components for the electric power industry
serving North, South and Central Americas. We offer support
for a wide range of makes and models of Load Tap Changer
and Oil Circuit Breaker components; to meet both domestic
and international power industry needs, HVS consistently delivers
high quality replacement components for most major and obsolete
LTC and circuit breaker brands. In addition, HVS offers LTC
failure analysis reporting, complete LTC overhauls, LTC maintenance
training, reverse engineering and component redesign for enhanced
performance.
Founded in 1984, High Voltage Supply opened shop in Los Angeles, California, with the goal of being a leader in the supply of aftermarket components for oil circuit breakers. At that time, the company had ONE customer in California. Through consistent quality and delivery, High Voltage Supply built rapport and expertise with this one customer and began developing maintenance kits for both load tap changers and oil circuit breakers.
As the product offering expanded, a buzz began to migrate through
the industry about an alternative to Original Equipment Manufacturers’
components. HVS soon became the preferred provider to customers
across the United States, developing numerous innovative solutions
and designs that eliminate equipment problems or lead to improved
performance. One of these innovations (developed in 1988), the
Extra Low Resistance (ELR) contact design,
reduces load tap changer failure due to carbon buildup (coking).
HVS strategically relocated its facility to Dallas, Texas in 1990 to better serve our expanding client base. During this time, our capabilities continued to grow, as did our reputation of being an innovative leader. Our clients grew to include Original Equipment Manufacturers and electric providers in both Central and South America.
Waukesha Electric Systems, Inc. acquired High Voltage Supply in October of 2000. This strategic acquisition expanded Waukesha’s offering to the industry and provided High Voltage Supply the resources to further expand its product line to include a line of Transformer Health Products™ designed and manufactured to increase reliability and life of a transformer while lowering the cost of maintenance.
In October 2002, resulting from our demand for quality and process-driven results, High Voltage Supply received ISO 9001:2000 certification. Today, High Voltage Supply is an industry leader and recognized specialist for the equipment we manufacture and support.
